Tablature
(or tab) A method of notation based on how the note is played on the
instrument. Today tablature is mainly used for guitar music.
Tardo It.:
"slow".
Techno
Type of electronic music. Tempo marking Notation indicating the tempo and character of a musical
piece. Common tempo marks (listed from slow to
fast): Adagio, Largo, Larghetto, Andante,
Andantino, Moderato, Allegretto, Allegro,
Vivace,
Presto, Prestissimo.
Third The interval between two notes separated by two steps of the diatonic
scale. Toccata The term was first used by
luteplayers and organists in the 16th century.
The toccata is usually a piece with rapid runs.
Tosto It.:
"quick", "rapid".
Tranquillo It.: "calm".
Trio A vocal or instrumental piece for three performers. Triple stop Playing three notes simultaneously on a string instrument.
Trombone
A large brass wind instrument with a sliding
tube.
Troppo It.: "too much". Non
troppo: "Not too much".
Trumpet
A tubular or conical brass instrument with
a flared bell and a bright penetrating tone. Tuba
A low-pitched brass wind instrument.
